We’ve already set a new precedent in student accommodation with our digs at The Edge in Leeds. By September 2017, you’ll have another IconInc location to consider as an upgrade to your student life.

The Glassworks on Cardigan Road will provide the ultimate student accommodation not just in terms of internal luxuries, but also in terms of external activities.

We’ve picked a location that we think will make your years at uni even more life-changing. Here’s why we can’t wait for you to see our (and hopefully your) new home:

A leisurely stroll to the university

Our new site is located only a mile away from the University of Leeds, so you can easily walk there for your lectures and study sessions in the library.

A bike ride will get you there in as little as five minutes and you can get the bus there when the weather’s bad.

A stone’s throw from Student Central

The centre of most student activity in Leeds is in Headingley. Luckily for residents of The Glassworks, it will be only a mile away on foot.

So, whether you’re heading out to watch the football or to embark upon the famed Otley Run, you won’t even need to order a taxi to get there.

    Get your groceries on

The Glassworks is conveniently surrounded by four major supermarkets (at the time of writing), so all of your shopping needs will be taken care of without you needing to venture very far at all.

There are two on Kirkstall Road and two in nearby Headingley, which means that you just as easily go for a big shop as you can nip in to pick up the evening’s dinner on the way back from university.

    Get your groove on

Around the corner from The Glassworks is one of the most famous live music spots in all of Leeds, Brudenell Social Club.

The venue plays host to the area’s best local bands as well as some of the world’s most talented acts in a variety of genres, so you’ll be spoilt for choice on your doorstep.

    Travel back in time

Hyde Park Picture House is reachable on foot from our new site, too. The beauty of this is that you’ll have the choice of old and new when it comes to the cinema.

The Picture House is over 100 years old and retains its traditional cinema feel, whilst our modern private cinema within our grounds offers exactly the sort of home comforts you want on film night in your student digs.

20-minute ticket to ride (into town)

If you get the itch to do a bit of shopping at the weekend, there are plenty of bus routes that go into town from the Cardigan Road area.

Timetables are subject to change by September 2017 when The Glassworks opens, but you can catch regular services to the main shopping parts of the city centre in around 20 minutes.
