Our Story
Iconinc specialises in creating high-end, luxury accommodation that sets an excellent standard in student living.
Our developments are designed to elevate student living beyond just an accommodation space. The brand’s first development, The Edge in Leeds, set a benchmark for quality student accommodation when it opened in 2015 and has led to three further developments in Liverpool, Lincoln and Leeds.
The well-being of residents has inspired the design of the development, ensuring that students can socialise in communal areas and through the social amenities provided.
What makes Iconinc Different
-
Social activities are at the heart of what we do
Summer BBQs, winter parties, yoga classes, 5-a-side football, karaoke, cupcake decorating, movie nights and more. It’s great to socialise at Iconinc and we hope you make memories here that will last for years.
-
We have a thriving international community
With students from all over the world living at Iconinc, the international community truly thrives here. You’ll hear different accents and languages around every corner and you’ll be able to learn about hundreds of cultures from several different countries.
-
Our commitment to sustainability and social responsibility
We take our commitment to sustainability and social responsibility seriously, and we’re proud to run a variety of initiatives that reflect these values. One example is our partnership with Age UK in Lincoln, where we provide space for their members to take part in social activities like cinema nights, helping to build connections across generations and give back to the local community.
-
Sustainable Living Practice
We champion sustainable living practices through creative, hands-on activities. At one of our Leeds sites, we collaborated with Blue Marble to host a planter-building workshop, where residents learned basic carpentry skills and created a communal herb planter for the courtyard. Not only does this encourage home cooking with fresh ingredients, but it also brings a greater sense of ownership and care for their space. We're now working on the next stage: introducing compost bins at The Glassworks to help students manage their food waste in an eco-friendly way.
-
Clothes Swap
To mark World Environment Day, we hosted a clothes swap event, encouraging residents to reduce waste and refresh their wardrobe sustainably, promoting a culture of reuse and conscious consumption. During move-out week we also encourage all residents to donate unwanted clothes to charity rather than discarding them.
-
Engaging Student Societies
At Iconinc, we act as a sponsor for student societies at our local universities by offering our communal facilities to use for their events e.g. the cinema room or amphitheatre. This relationship extends beyond our own residents and engages with the wider student community in the city we are present in.
