We are pleased to announce that IconInc is set to build its second luxury student accommodation development, The Glassworks on Cardigan Road in Leeds.

Our first development, The Edge in Leeds, launched in September 2015 and instantly hit national headlines dubbed as “Britain's most luxurious student digs”.

Building on the success of IconInc’s launch, we are expanding our offering of high-end student living. The second development in Leeds, The Glassworks, is set to open 1st July 2017 and will yet again raise the level of student living featuring 154 luxury apartments.

    IconInc Glassworks in Leeds

The Glassworks site in Leeds has been derelict for 15 years and the redevelopment will regenerate and give a new lease of life to the area, as well as providing 10 jobs.

Catering to a demand in the student rental market for luxury living, the 6 storey development will provide boutique hotel-like living 365 days of the year with en-suite bathrooms, plush double or king beds, a flat screen TV, high-speed Wi-Fi and all-inclusive utility bills. Tenants can choose from a range of optional extras including professional cleaning, daily fresh fruit delivery, kitchen equipment, luxury Egyptian cotton towels and bedding hand-picked by IconInc’s interior designers.

The award-winning design, all-inclusive facilities and cutting edge technology has revolutionised student living in the city and includes an on-site gym with personal trainers, a cinema room, a games zone, complimentary daily breakfast, study rooms, self-service pantry and 24hr concierge.

Our second IconInc development in Leeds will bring even more luxury with a ‘mega kitchen’ with wok cooker in which students can cook and dine together. Leisure facilities include a ‘mega lounge’ area. The building’s exterior will include an outdoor space inspired by George Clark Amazing Spaces with themed pods. The pods will each be uniquely designed and available for students to hire for study, quiet time or socialising.

The excellence in design at The Edge has been recognised with a Northern Design Award for Best Interior Design Concept as judges were impressed with the quality interior, striking wall graphics, slick design and bespoke furniture and fittings. IconInc has also been shortlisted for a RICS Awards 2016 in the Residential category.

IconInc apartments at The Edge start from £165 per week, which includes all the benefits of a boutique hotel in the heart of the city centre. The Glassworks will build on the unique offering at The Edge, which is exciting news for students coming to Leeds in 2017.
